Cone Head Zonker

Medium Cone head (Bronze was used here)
Olive Rabbit Zonker Strips
3/0 Olive thread
Slide a cone on to the eye.
Snip about a 1" inch strip from the Rabbit Strip
and tie in with the hair flowing back. Make sure
your first and succeeding wraps are forward of
the hook point.
Now tie in a several inch strip of Rabbit just forward
of the point.
Wrap the thread forward to the cone.
Palmer the Rabbit forward to the eye, wetting your
fingers and drawing back the fur with each wrap.
When you get to the cone, make an additional
wrap or two to fill the cone.
Whip finish as usual.
The Cone Head Zonker. Very effective for Steelies
and also great for Brown Trout.
